Most builds run a cast wheel: the best balance of strength, weight, and price, and street legal for a daily driver. Step up to the forged Invader beadlock when you air down below 15 PSI for rock crawling or deep sand, where a bolted ring clamps the tire bead so it can't unseat at low pressure. Beadlocks run heavier and need periodic bolt torque checks, so they earn their place on dedicated trail rigs.

What Makes a Wheel Off-Road

Street wheels carry roughly 1,800 to 2,200 lb. Our off-road wheels carry 2,500 to 3,700 lb, add material where the spoke meets the barrel, and reinforce the lip so a rock strike dents instead of cracks. Then T.A.C.T. coating (Tough Application Chemically Treated) protects the finish from mud, water, and salt.
